I don't think anyone can gauge owt from that game. It was basically a kickabout.

The only noteworthy thing was the size of Elliot Lee's massive FAT ARSE.

He ain't got the shape of a professional athlete.

I disagree, think back to Trevor Sinclair.

"Perhaps he doesn't know what it means."

It means "thus it was written" - short for "sic erat scriptum".

gph 3:23 Fri Jul 3
Re: Player Ratings
"Sic" isn't just for grammar errors - it's used to point out that what appears to be an error really was in the original.

Back in the mists of time, fordstar really did claim he was told he was the next Bobby Moore.

So this use of "sic" is perfectly ok.

Re: Player Ratings
You are correct, the (sic) shouldn't be there. I hope that helps you sleep better tonight.

Yeah I was wondering that as well.

Perhaps he doesn't know what it means.

Why did you put 'sic' there? Thought that denoted a grammatical error that you knew of?
Genuine question.....

Gaffa,

Apart from maybe knocking a point off for Poyet, I'd agree entirely with that.

Re: Player Ratings
The younger players get a little marked up because of their inexperience and the older players like Jarvis marked a little down because they are the senior players and the performance was ordinary at best.

I guess that's why thousands starting fucking off with 20 odd minutes to go.

Rodfarts 1:32 Fri Jul 3

Because I have seen Oxford play live on more than one occasion and plenty of times on TV thanks.

Last night showed at the age of 16 he's got everything you need to make it, EVERYTHING you never had.

Just another home grown product you're so bitter about because injury stopped you being the next Bobby Moore (sic) and have to spend your live driving a cab.

Rodfarts/Fordstar is a post 96er, he won't be happy until we turn into Chelsea Mk II and buy Messi & Ronaldo

Re: Player Ratings

I really cant see how you call yourself a West Ham fan nevermind anything else.

Oxford will be a star. He looked so comfortable out there last night, even Stevie Fookin Wonder could see that.

So he dallied on the ball a bit and lost it a couple of times but he is 16 and those small errors will disappear with more first team games.
